Church Space Transition
What will St. Michael’s Church do with the buildings and land that was used by St. Michael’s School, now that they are relocated in their beautiful new space?
Results from the CHARRETTE A multi-stakeholder Design Process
We had our Charrette on October 20tpmh from 8:30 am – 2:30pm and had 37 people attend. We had a good mix of parishioners, some neighbors, representatives from County Parks and Rec, County planning, Riverside School, The Panthers Field Hockey Club, architects, structural engineers, real estate professionals and others. The process was illuminating in helping elucidate the values of the church and the community, and for hightlighting potential partners.
The process looked at several scenarios for the use of our land: Intro: Brainstorming; 1 -a School Campus; 2 – Housing (potentially senior housing); 3 – Park/ Athletic / Community space; 4- Synthesis of ideas; 5- Final thoughts.
HERE are the notes from large group discussions and HERE are the survey Here are notes made on plats in small groups outlining ideas. .
HERE are the results fromt the Community Survey and HERE are the survey responses from the Church.

Come to the Charrette! The ideas and values that come out of this process will help St. Michael’s leaders discern among future proposals for this property. We expect to send out RFP soon, and will want all proposals, whether for, lease, partial sale, development, or partnering to be back to us in early January 2019.
