The Rev. Canon Jeunée Godsey, Rector
A graduate of Georgetown University and Virginia Theological Seminary, she is passionate about helping each person experience the life-changing transformation that comes from a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. She believes that when we pray “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven,” God takes us seriously. God uses the Church and each Christ follower to help build God’s kingdom here on earth through healing, outreach to those in need, justice, reconciliation and love. Rev. Jeunée has three adult children, enjoys hiking, travelling, playing the ukulele, and is often tempted by dark chocolate.
Rev. Becki Dean, Deacon
The Rev. Becki Dean began serving as St. Michael’s Deacon in July, 2012. Prior to her ordination in 2007, she graduated from the Diocese of North Carolina School for Deacon Formation. As a deacon her call is to spread the Gospel in the world and to bring the needs and concerns of the world and those who live on the margins of society back to the church. Her enthusiasm for evangelism extends to empowering and enabling all of us in our own ministries using the gifts God has given to each of us. It is through living the Gospel that she feels we begin to recognize that we are all much more alike than we are different. Deacon Becki has been married to husband Kerry 50 years. They have two children, a son Timothy and a daughter, Holly. Kerry and Becki have six beautiful grandchildren. Besides her passion for ministry and her grandchildren, Becki’s other passions include horses, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends.
